Our Heavy/Highway division has an immediate need for qualified bridge superintendents and/or foremen.

Job Purpose:
Complete bridge construction projects safely, profitably and on schedule; by planning, organizing, documenting and controlling the work; supervising company personnel and subcontractors, responsible for meeting EEO, DBE and training goals; and ensure compliance with safety regulations, and company policies. 
 

Duties:
• Responsible for all aspects of the day to day field operations of the job
• Prepare construction schedules and communicate to all affected parties; schedule and coordinate company personnel and subcontractors
• Identify and resolve problems, especially those that may affect the cost, quality or schedule of the project
• Meet construction budgets by monitoring project expenditures
• Deliver projects by calculating resources required, and allocating those resources
• Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and company policies
• Document the progress of the project by filling out time sheets and daily diaries
• Conduct new employee orientation, including properly filling out sign-up sheets

Skills/Qualifications:
• Must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills
• Must have 5+ years experience as a Superintendent or Foreman on bridge construction projects
• High school diploma is required, college degree preferred but not required
• Must be willing to travel to job locations throughout Illinois and the Midwest
• OSHA Certification, CPR Training and other safety training is a plus
